Chasing Love ???

I tweeted it yesterday. But don’t get me wrong, it’s not because I got this stuff named love stuck in me. That happened as my bestie from high school gave me a question that totally rendered me speechless: “when was the last time you felt in love with someone? Oh, and distinguish ‘suka’, ‘sayang’, and ‘cinta’.” Krik.. krik.. krik.. Seriously, I had no idea, even the simplest one to answer such tricky question. She drove me nuts. She did get me!

To be frank, I’m not living in the world when love is everywhere (love here refers to a special feeling you have toward individual of your opposite sex). Been trying to conceal it, but as long as I can remember, I’ve never been in love (being in love here, as my bestie said, is so different to that of having a crush on someone. Remember, make a firm borderline for these 3 terms: ‘suka’, ‘sayang’, and ‘cinta’. And apparently, my own conception of love has been based upon such a sluggish assessment >.<).

Anyway, I ain’t gonna post something about love, let alone my no-previous experience(s) in love. Well, maybe it’s true, I’m just not comfortable talking about love (besides, I never tasted it before). So, what I’m going to do is singing. Yep, one of my new fave song, performed by Adele: Chasing Pavements. If you’re curious whether this song represents my feeling now, please don’t be, you’re just wasting time. If you’re wondering why I post this writing with a song as the accessory and trying to channel it to what might be happened to my heart, I beg you, don’t attempt to even think about it cause you’re so going to be disappointed.

If you take a look at my previous post Dream Your (Now) Dreams, you may see some so-called lesson-learned paragraphs I added right after the lyrics. But, leave it alone, you won’t find some in this post. Doesn’t mean Adele wrote this magnificent piece of art for no reason. There has to be some lesson-learned, but not for me in this particular time. I just love her thrilling voice, the exquisite video and, somehow, the lyrics.

Oh, maybe this one can help: The Definition of Love. I got the link from twitter (@TheNoteboook). Albeit the contents are all about love, but I kinda LOVE checking it out quite regularly.

Love is so hard to define sometimes because it means so many different things to everyone. The type of love you feel for your mom is definitely different than the love you have for your significant other and so on and so on. There’s also a huge difference between a new love that comes with a pounding heart and sweaty palms and a longer love that is comfortable and kind. -The Notebook of Love.
