KINGfisher Gayle

Duckworth Lewis is indeed the most confusing aspect of modern cricket. I suspect whether the makers of this system were in a confused state of mind when they dished out this Bermuda triangle. It is perhaps easier to know God than to understand the Duckworth Lewis system.

I am no fan of the Kolkata Knight Riders who may be blaming Duckworth Lewis today. But I guess, they need to blame themselves more than anything else. Without doubt, they batted badly and without doubt, they made a superb comeback in the game against Royal Challengers post Gayle's exit from the crease. The worst thing though, was the way they bowled to Chris Gayle - the man who took the game off them within a few minutes.

Brett Lee is a great athlete and he has been in brilliant form but this evening, he kept pitching the ball up to the Caribbean southpaw. For a little over 2 overs, the ball simply kept vanishing. It was a typical brutal assault by Chris. By the time he got out, the match had gone beyond KKR's reach.

With this victory, Royal Challengers are now all set for the next stage of the IPL. The best thing is that Chris Gayle has fitted well into this side and with the amazing form that he is in, sure is a great brand ambassador for Royal Challengers. And why not? After all, both RCB and Chris Gayle are all about parties, drinks and style.
